HCPSS Students to be Recognized by the Council of Elders

The Council of Elders of the Black Community Howard County, in conjunction with the Howard County Public School System, will honor nearly 2,000 African American HCPSS middle and high school students for scoring in the advanced category in reading and/or math on the Maryland School Assessment (MSA).
The events will take place at Howard High School, 8700 Old Annapolis Rd., Ellicott City, from 6:30-9 p.m. Nov. 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21. Students from the following schools will be recognized on these dates:
-Thurs., Nov. 14: Bonnie Branch, Burleigh Manor, Clarksville, Dunloggin and Mayfield Woods Middle Schools
-Mon., Nov. 18: Elkridge Landing, Ellicott Mills, Folly Quarter and Murray Hill Middle Schools
-Tues., Nov. 19: Glenwood, Hammond, Harper’s Choice, Lake Elkhorn, Lime Kiln and Mount View Middle Schools
-Wed., Nov. 20: Oakland Mills, Patapsco, Patuxent Valley and Wilde Lake Middle School; Cedar Lane; Homewood
-Thurs., Nov. 21: Atholton, Centennial, Glenelg, Hammond, Howard, Long Reach, Marriotts Ridge, Mt. Hebron, Oakland Mills, Reservoir, River Hill and Wilde Lake High Schools
