Howard County African American Roundtable Joint Education Forum

The Howard County African American Roundtable will hold their first ever joint education forum, Delivering the Promise of Preparation: A Call to Action, on March 14, 2013 from 7- 8:30 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 9055 Tamar Drive, Columbia, Maryland, 21045.

The forum will feature Maryland Superintendent Dr. Lillian Lowery, Howard County Public School System Superintendent Dr. Renee Foose, and Executive Director of the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University Jon Fullerton. The forum will focus on reforms and research that are underway to benefit the students in Howard County. Specific topics to be covered include the state of academic achievement in Howard County schools, strategies for eliminating achievement gaps, state reforms, and college and career readiness for every student.
