Green Valley Marketplace Partnership to Enhance School Communities

A new partnership between Green Valley Marketplace and several Howard County schools will support students in making positive choices and promoting wellness for their communities. The partnership will be formalized with an official signing on Tuesday, October 9 at Green Valley Marketplace (Google map
), 7280 Montgomery Road in Elkridge.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Green Valley Marketplace will support Elkridge, Illchester and Rockburn elementary schools; Bonnie Branch and Elkridge Landing middle schools; and Howard High School by providing sundry supplies for classroom use; assisting in school-community outreach through announcements in customer circulars and other media; showcasing student talent through art displays and musical performances in the store; and hosting school fundraisers.
The store will also support students in career exploration by participating in career days and offering internship opportunities, and will supply refreshments for school events in recognition of excellence in academics and behavior.
At 10:00 a.m., Benjamin L. Sigman, Chairman Emeritus, and Rick Rodgers, Chief Operating Officer, B. Green & Company, Inc.; and Robert Hoffman, Green Valley Marketplace Store Manager will join Sandra French, Chairman, and Ellen Flynn Giles, Member of the Howard County BOE and school representatives to sign the formal partnership agreement.
