Oakland Mills Middle School in Columbia Celebrates 40 Years of Excellence

Oakland Mills Middle School , located at 9540 Kilimanjaro Road in Columbia, will celebrate its 40th anniversary with an outdoor community celebration on Friday, September 7, 2012, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Superintendent Renee A. Foose, Ed.D., will attend the event, along with Ray Brown, Deputy Superintendent of Operations, and several other school officials. Also expected at the celebration are BOE members Ellen Giles and Dr. Janet Siddiqui and other elected officials, including Senator Allan Kittleman, Delegate Guy Guzzone, Delegate Frank Turner, County Council Chairperson Mary Kay Sigaty, and Councilman Calvin Ball. Regina Clay, a representative from County Executive Ken Ulman’s office, will attend on his behalf.
