Howard County Music Educator is Grammy Award Semifinalist

Terry Eberhardt, Instructional Facilitator for Music and a former music teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School, is a semifinalist for the 2015 Grammy Music Educator of the Year award. He is one of just 25 national semifinalists, and is the only semifinalist representing Maryland.

The Recording Academy and The Grammy Foundation present the award each year to recognize an educator who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education, and who demonstrates broad commitment to music education in schools. This year, 7,000 nominations were submitted from all 50 states.

The winner will be announced during the nationally televised 57th Annual Grammy awards on February 8, 2015.

Eberhardt was named Howard County Teacher of the Year in 2009.
