HCPSS Boundary Review Process Next Steps
June 18th, 2025
The HCPSS Boundary Review process will continue over the summer, with several opportunities
for community input. Below are the next steps in the process:
Educational Facilities Master Plan (EFMP), June 26
Presented at the June 12 Board of Education Meeting, the Board is scheduled to approve the
EFMP for submission to the State at its June 26 meeting. This report replaces the annual
Feasibility Study and includes local planning considerations, student enrollment projections,
capacity needs and the newly approved facility needs prioritization process and associated
data. The enrollment projection contained in this report will be used to model the impacts of
enrollment balancing scenarios. The analysis and recommendations included in this document
will be used to inform the FY 2027 Capital Budget planning cycle.
Boundary Review Report, July 17
The Boundary Review Report will be presented at the July 17 Board of Education Meeting. This
report will include several redistricting scenarios, including maps.
Community Engagement Meetings, July–August
These meetings will provide an opportunity for community members to understand the
redistricting scenarios contained in the Boundary Review Report, ask questions and provide
feedback, which will be considered during development of the Superintendent’s
recommendation to the Board. No RSVP is required. All meetings are open for any community
member to attend. Interpretation services at information sessions will be available in Spanish,
Korean and Chinese. To request interpretation in another language, please
email interpretingservices@hcpss.org.

Superintendent Recommendation to the Board, September
Once community feedback has been gathered, the Superintendent will present a Proposed
Attendance Area Adjustment Plan to the Board.
Board of Education Process, September–November
The boundary review process will run through November 2025. After the Superintendent’s
recommendation in September, the Board will hold work sessions and provide the opportunity
for public testimony through public hearings, email and written letters. A final decision on any

school year.
