HCPSS Academy of Finance Earns National Recognition as Distinguished Program
April 8th, 2025
HCPSS’ Academy of Finance (AOF) recently was selected as a 2025 Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program, the highest level of achievement awarded by NAF, a national education non-profit.
This designation reflects the Academy’s performance on NAF’s annual assessment, which evaluates the academy’s strengths and challenges in implementing NAF’s career-focused curricula and work-based learning design.
“The Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program recognition is a direct result of the rigorous curriculum, intense soft skill development, and the required work-based learning component at the end of the two-year Academy of Finance program,” says Hina Naseem, who serves as the HCPSS Academy’s lead. “We are so proud of our students who successfully complete the Academy by engaging at a professional level, unpacking challenges and problem solving.”
Naseem also credits the HCPSS Academy of Finance’s Advisory Board for its role in the Academy being named Katherine Blasik Distinguished Program.
“We could not have made this Academy successful without our stellar Advisory Board, whose members consistently carve out time and resources to coach students, provide feedback, and raise the professional standards in the learning environment,” she says.
As part of NAF, HCPSS’ Academy of Finance provides access to opportunities for high school students and their communities, bringing schools and businesses together to better prepare the next generation of leaders for college, career, and future success.
