Introduction of New High School and Middle School Courses, Feedback Accepted Through August 2, 2024

Howard County Public School staff, students, families, and community members are invited to suggest new middle or high school courses each year. To propose a new middle or high school course, please complete this short form by Friday, August 2, 2024, for consideration during the upcoming school year.

New courses are added to the course catalogs following an extended process that includes proposal, evaluation and approval, budgeting, curriculum development, course piloting and revision, instructional materials development or acquisition, and professional development.

HCPSS implements course additions through the provisions of Howard County Board of Education Policy 8000 Curriculum, which provides additional information about the processes for approving and developing new courses.
