The Launch of HCPSS’ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Group

October 29th, 2018

October 23 marked the first meeting of the Superintendent’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Group, which is charged with supporting the execution of the Strategic Call to Action as it relates to diversity, equity and inclusion. The advisory group will work to gain knowledge of current HCPSS practices, advise on systemic efforts and represent a wide range of perspectives. The group, made up of staff, students and community members, will meet regularly throughout the year to achieve its goals.

HCPSS Superintendent Michael J. Martirano established seven advisory groups to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders in helping to take Howard County schools to the next level. Learn more about the advisory groups.
