Update to HCPSS Contact Tracing Procedures, Nov. 17, 2021
November 17th, 2021
Ameridial will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you need to report a positive test result or are returning a missed call during this time, please leave a message and your call will be returned Friday, Nov. 26
Parents/guardians should be aware of a change to HCPSS contact tracing procedures, effective Friday, Nov. 19, 2021.
Currently when a student or staff member is found to be a close contact, the parent/guardian receives a call from HCPSS Health Services staff. HCPSS has a critical shortage of school nurses and health assistants. In an effort to increase efficiency at notifying families, and to ease the burden on school nurses, health assistants and other school staff, HCPSS has contracted with Ameridial to manage notifying families when a student is identified as a close contact.
When a student is identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, the family will receive a phone call and follow up email from Ameridial. Parents/guardians who do not answer the call will be left a voicemail and provided with a return call number. Families should not call their child’s school and instead should return the call to Ameridial at 888-984-3953, which will provide parents with necessary information.
Additionally, if your child tests positive for COVID-19, please call Ameridail at 888-984-3953 to begin the contact tracing process. Ameridial is available to take calls from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Calls received outside of those times will be directed to a voicemail.
