Career Academy Info Sessions, Oct. 6 & Dec. 8, 2021

Current 8-11 grade students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend virtual information sessions on the HCPSS career academies, Wednesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Dec. 8. Each evening will include two 20-minute information sessions at 7 and 7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how Career and Technical Education (CTE) career academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships, and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and become creative problem solvers by participating in hands-on project-based learning.
Students and parents may hear from up to two academies each night by pre-registering online. Following registration, students/parents will be emailed a meeting code. All sessions will be conducted via Google Meet using the student’s account login.

- Agricultural Science
- Animation and Interactive Media
- Apprenticeship Maryland
- Architectural Design
- Automotive Technology
- Cybersecurity Networking
- Early College Program – Cybersecurity
- Graphic Design
- Health Professions
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
- Systems and Project Engineering
When registering, students/parents will need to indicate which academy session they are interested in. Complete information on all career academies is available online. Students/parents are encouraged to review the academies before registering.
A third information session will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, for those interested and unable to attend this year.
