Families Invited to Participate in Annual HCPSS Coat Giveaway

Howard County Public School System PTAs are collecting coats, hats and gloves for an annual coat drive to help keep Howard County families warm this winter. Donations of new and gently-used clean items of all sizes will be accepted.
- Tuesday, September 22 and Thursday, September 24
- 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Howard County MultiService Center, 9900 Washington Blvd., Suite 1, Laurel
Any family in need may receive items at the Coat Giveaway. No registration or proof of need required.
- Saturday, October 10
- 10 a.m. to noon, or until supplies last
- North Laurel Community Center, 9411 Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel
Participants should follow Howard County Health Department and CDC guidelines for social distancing, which include wearing a mask and maintaining a distance of 6 feet from others.
The HCPSS PTA coat drive, which has been serving the Howard County community for more than 15 years, is a PTA Council of Howard County (PTACHC) and Howard County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) event this year, with the PTA collections donated to partners at the Howard County MultiService Center.
