Howard County Public Schools Celebrates 50 Years of Education at Atholton High School

On Monday, August 22, 2016, at 7:30 a.m., Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman and HCPSS Superintendent Renee A. Foose will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Atholton High School with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the front entrance of the school.
After the presentation of the colors by Atholton JROTC cadets, the ribbon will be cut and staff will enter the building. Members of the Atholton PTSA and Boosters will provide breakfast immediately following the ceremony.
Atholton will have activities throughout the school year to celebrate the 50th anniversary including a comprehensive ceremony at this year’s Homecoming on October 22. Atholton High School opened in 1966.
